Connie Mattera Retirement

Connie Mattera, a regional and national leader in Emergency Medical Services, is retiring in July after over 50 years as a nurse and nearly 50 years as a paramedic. Based at NCH since 1979, she has served as EMS System Coordinator and Administrative Director, as well as EMS Education Program Director for Harper College. Mattera has made significant contributions, including creating Harper College's AAS degree in Applied Sciences and leading the NCH Community Training Center. Even in her final months, she continues to impact the field, teaching internationally recognized EMS courses.

A long time in the making we will launch the Northwest Community/Northern Lake County Mobile Integrated Healthcare (NWC/NLC MIH) Program! This has been years in the making and we could not have done it without extraordinary champions like Chief Pat Kane, DC Devin Mueller, and Erik Christensen at Wauconda FPD and our other participants.
