Connie Mattera, M.S., R.N., EMT-P

The EMS Administrative Director is a department director for Northwest Community Healthcare and is responsible for effective strategic planning and the administrative, educational, financial, and human resource management for the Northwest Community EMS System on a 24-hour basis ensuring high quality and cost-effective delivery of EMS services. Directly supervises NWCH EMS educators and clerical staff with a span of influence which extends to monitoring and/or directing the EMS activities of seven Associate Hospital EMS Coordinators, multiple independent contractor educators, 250 Emergency Communications Registered Nurses (ECRNs), 400 EMT-B's, 950 EMT-P's, and a small number of Prehospital RN's. Facilitates and monitors EMS activities for 24 EMS Agencies who perform in excess of 60,000 runs per year. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Clinical Services and collaborates with the EMS Medical Director.
