NWCEMSS Seeking a New EMS Medical Director

The Northwest Community EMS System was the first in Illinois. launching December 1, 1972, and we have been extremely fortunate to have been led by extraordinary EMS Medical Directors, notably Dr. Stanley M. Zydlo (our founder) and now, John M. Ortinau, MD, FACEP.  From its storied beginning until now, the System has grown to include 24 provider agencies and over 1500 EMS personnel (see the full System report on the About Us tab on our website for details).  We are known for the excellence of our shared governance model, evidence-based practice, educational programs, dedication of our leaders and providers, and the superb care that they give.

Dr. O is retiring at the end of this year and the System is searching for a transformational leader to be his successor.  The detailed analysis of position qualifications and duties is attached.
