Updated Imagetrend Template with Changes for Ebola monitoring
10/8/2014
Two simple questions have been added to the Imagetrend (ServiceBridge and FieldBridge) default templates. These are System Defined questions and should be answered for any patients receiving treatment.
System Defined Questions (like Service Defined Questions, but from the top down and apply to all users). The questions went in to effect on Wednesday, October 8th.
They are about travel outside the US in the past 30 days (Yes, No, Unknown) and destination/origin (Saudi Peninsula, West Africa, Other, Unknown, N/A).
If these questions are not answered, or if the answer about travel is yes and the second field is not addressed, the program will remind the user.
By asking these questions, it will remind crews about the risk of possible disease exposure (not merely to this possibility) and depending on the answer, could also trigger the responders to consider taking additional appropriate protective measures. Please refer to your SOPs and polcies regarding infection control.
